About Mr Nikitas Dimopoulos
Mr Nikitas Dimopoulos is a highly experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon, specialising in the full spectrum of symptomatic, screening, and reconstructive breast services. He is particularly skilled in both oncological and oncoplastic procedures, offering advanced surgical care tailored to the individual needs of his patients. Mr Dimopoulos graduated in Medicine from the University of Patras in 1999 before completing his surgical residency in Athens in 2009. He subsequently undertook higher specialist training in the UK, completing a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery at Imperial College London, St Mary’s Hospital, and the internationally renowned Nightingale and Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre in Manchester. In 2012, he was appointed Consultant Breast Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, before moving in 2019 to his current post at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside his clinical practice, he is committed to education and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students from the University of Manchester. He consults privately at The Christie Private Care and The Wilmslow Hospital, where he provides comprehensive care for both benign and malignant breast conditions, offering a wide range of reconstructive and therapeutic surgical procedures.
