Mr Matthew Oluwole qualified in 1983. His postgraduate training in Northern England and the West Midlands. He is now trained in Otolaryngology, specifically the general management of nasal and sinus diseases. From 2000 to 2016, he worked within the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust as a Consultant, before moving to Sheffield. There, he is the current co-lead in Functional Rhinology and Sinus Surgery and has developed a special clinical interest in snoring.
Mr. Oluwole also takes on an active teaching role, he lectures on the GP Update Circuit in Birmingham and Sheffield and teaches on postgraduate sinus surgery courses. In addition, he has a strong interest in research, evidenced by the management of his department's audit program which includes aspects of clinical governance. He has excellent peer-reviewed sinus surgery outcomes over his entire history as a Consultant.
He is a former Council Member of the Royal Society of Medicine (Rhinology and Laryngology Section), a current Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and a current member of the British Rhinology Society.
