About Prof Kenan Deniz
Mr Kenan Deniz is a Consultant Neurosurgeon, with special interests in neurovascular surgery, cranial and spinal vascular anomalies. He was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Leeds General Infirmary inn 2012 and he also sees patients privately at a number of locations. He has expertise in treating general neurological spinal conditions, including back and neck pain, arm pain and sciatica. . He is able to perform surgery for cervical and lumbar disc prolapses which cause nerve or cord entrapment in addition to decompressions to release trapped nerves as a result of spinal degenerative disease. He is also perform release of trapped nerves in the arm carpal tunnel syndrome. Mr Deniz trained on the North Thames Higher Surgical Training Rotation in London at Charing Cross Hospital, Bart's and The Royal London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square. He then worked at the Neurosurgical Unit at The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford to gain Fellowship experience in lateral skull base surgery, in particular surgery for vestibular schwannoma, and endoscopic pituitary surgery. He also completed a Neurovascular Fellowship at King's College Hospital in London.
