Mr John Stebbing

About
Mr Stebbing studied Medicine at St John's College in Cambridge and Guy's Hospital Medical School which led to his qualification in 1987. He then completed training in the South West Thames Region, Gloucester, Oxford and Bristol. During this time he was awarded a Research Fellowship in Oxford and he was awarded a John of Arderne Medal by the Royal Society of Medicine.
He was first appointed Consultant in 1999 and he treats patients for rectal bleeding, irregular bowel habits, anal fissures and anal fistula. He also has a sub-speciality in performing colonoscopy, bowel cancer screening and management, as well as inflammatory bowel disease. He currently holds the position as Chairman of the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and he holds membership with the National Bowel Cancer Screening Advisory Committee.
