About Mr Hazem El Refaey
Dr Hazem El-Refaey is a London-based Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He has more than 25 years of clinical experience and has been based in London for over 15 years. He was responsible for proposing and implementing the pregnancy unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He has expertise in a variety of obstetric and gynaecological areas and is able to treat patients with the following complaints: • General obstetric and gynaecological procedures • Ultrasound • Menstrual irregularities, heavy periods, PMT • Menopause • Miscarriage • Pregnancy symptoms • Fibroids Dr El-Refaey graduated from Cairo University in 1981 and has worked in cities such as London, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. He holds various patents and has pioneered numerous life-saving treatments in his area that minimise complications during birth. His ideas were added to the World Health Organisation's Essential Medicine for Postpartum Haemorrhage in 2011.
