About Mr Chukwuemeka Nnene
Mr Chukwuemeka Nnene is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in lower limb orthopaedic surgery. He is based at James Paget University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and also consults from East Point Consulting Rooms. He has expertise in a wide variety of lower limb conditions including: • Knee pain • Hip pain • Knee osteoarthritis • Hip arthritis • Meniscal injury • Bursitis Mr Nnene regularly performs basic and complex joining replacements. He is an expert in hip and knee replacement as well as revision hip joint replacement. He is also skilled in knee arthroscopy and hip and knee arthroplasty. He also has expertise in foot and ankle conditions and is able to perform foot and ankle fusion and surgery for the following conditions: • Bunions • Ankle arthritis • Foot arthritis • Ligament injuries • Forefoot pain Mr Nnene also treats general orthopaedic pathologies including rotator cuff, shoulder impingement, tennis and golfer's elbow, Dupuytren's disease, and cubital and carpal tunnel. He gained his medical degree from the University of Benin in 1988 and undertook higher surgical training at the University Hospitals of Leicester. He went on to complete a year-long fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty and revision hip surgery. He has been based at James Paget University Hospital since 2009 and he has gained clinical excellence awards for his achievements. He is also an expert in medico-legal services.
