Mr. Charles Evans is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon based at The Wellington Hospital and the Platinum Medical Centre. He completed basic surgical training in London and achieved MD from the University of London following research into colorectal cancer and minimally invasive surgery.
Mr. Evans and his colleague Mr. Miskovic have formed the Colorectal & Robotic Surgery Centre for HCA Healthcare UK; working in partnership to deliver a bespoke colorectal and robotic surgical service.
Mr.Evans undertook higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery following which he was selected for the National Ethicon Fellowship in Advanced Colorectal Surgery. He undertook a further fellowship in complex colorectal surgery at St Mark's Hospital, London.
Currently, Mr. Evans is the Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He is a consultant Colorectal and General surgeon. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery performing robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He trains surgeons across Europe and the UK in robotic surgery
Outside of work Mr. Evans has a young family which fills most of his free time. He enjoys keeping fit and is a coach for a junior team at Balsall and Berkswell Rugby club.

Robotic colorectal surgery - Mr Evans is a national lead in robotic colorectal surgery being selected as a trainer in robotic surgery both in the UK and across Europe.
