About
He completed his medical training at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and undertook postgraduate studies in London and Manchester. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2003.
Mr. Sanchez-Ballester has extensive clinical experience through his work at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he has served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and as Clinical Director of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department since 2013.
In addition to his surgical and clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in medical education. He serves on the examiners’ panel for the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, and a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association. Mr. Sanchez-Ballester has published numerous academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.
