Mr Andrew Coombes, Consultant Eye Surgeon, has been working within the Barts Health NHS Trust since 2003. During his speciality training, he undertook several high-profile fellowships at internationally renowned institutions including Sydney Eye Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Mr Coombes is also an active researcher, publishing numerous peer-reviewed articles and has written several books on cataracts and trauma. He has several roles within medical education including College Tutor and Education Supervisor within the Royal London Hospital. He also teaches undergraduate and postgrad students on ophthalmologic topics.
