He completed higher neurosurgical training in London and also trained abroad, completing a prestigious 13 month Spinal Fellowship Diploma at the University of Toronto, Canada under the eminent Professor Fehings, a world leading spinal surgeon.

Mr Ibrahim was chosen for the travelling fellowship as the only surgeon from the UK and 1 of 2 from Europe to join a travelling fellowship to Canada and the USA along with 5 other international fellows.

His post-qualification training allowed him to further advance his skills and knowledge in complex spine surgeries. Mr Ibrahim has extensive expertise in robotic assisted spinal surgery and performed the first axial cervical spine fusion surgery in the UK. Mr Ibrahim has also developed advanced spinal endoscopy service and is a national proctor for training other surgeons in this ultra minimally invasive technique. Mr Ibrahim performed the first endoscopic lumbar fusion surgery in the UK.
