Adrian gained his primary medical qualification in 1989 at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, and went on to train on the prestigious North West Thames rotation. Upon completion of his training, he gained Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993. During this time, Adrian undertook in depth research around 'The influence of microvascular disease on colonic anastomotic healing' allowing him to be awarded his Masters degree by the University of London. Upon completion of further clinical and surgical training, he was added to the specialist register in 2000 and in 2002, was appointed Consultant at Kingston Hospital.
