Dr. Moutaz El Kadri is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria in 1996 and subsequently completed his training fellowships in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in the UK. He then spent two years at the University of Michigan, USA, attending an advanced catheter ablation fellowship. He has practised as a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at several prestigious hospitals including Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in the UAE.
Dr. El Kadri is an expert in the assessment and management of arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death syndromes, atrial fibrillation and flutter ablation, catheter ablation of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, implant and monitoring of pacemakers, defibrillators (ICD), biventricular devices (CRT), lead extractions, paediatric ablation procedures, and leadless pacemakers. He has performed almost 2000 heart rhythm procedures and is particularly interested in mapping and ablation of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and complex cardiac device management.
Dr. El Kadri is an accomplished academic, with a Master's degree in Cardiology from the University of Brighton and a Ph.D. in cellular electrophysiology from the University of Liverpool. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians-London and the Heart Rhythm Society, among others. He is a frequent lecturer on heart rhythm topics locally and internationally and is on question writing panels for several international exams such as IBHRE and MRCP. He is also a reviewer for several prominent scientific journals.
