Dr Mona Marwan Alkhawajah is a Consultant Neurologist with a specialisation in Clinical Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with neurological conditions. Dr Alkhawajah is also an Assistant Professor at a university medical college, contributing to the education of future medical professionals.
Dr Alkhawajah is actively involved in patient advocacy and public education regarding Multiple Sclerosis. She established the first Multiple Sclerosis support group in the Kingdom and is the founder of a walk to raise awareness for the condition. Her commitment extends to advancing the field through organising international conferences on Neuroimmunology.
She earned her Medical Degree from King Saud University in Riyadh. Following this, she completed her residency training in Neurology and obtained the Saudi Board in Neurology. Dr Alkhawajah furthered her expertise by completing a Fellowship in Neuroimmunology at the University of British Columbia in Canada, and a shorter fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases at Vancouver General Hospital.
