About
Dr Mohammed Edon Islam is a podiatrist and the Clinical Lead for Podiatry at Yas Healthcare, where he manages a broad range of foot and ankle conditions across clinical, surgical, and preventative care pathways. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Sports Therapy and Podiatry, as well as a Master’s degree in Podiatry from the University of Huddersfield in 2022.
In his current role, Dr Edon provides assessment, diagnosis, and management of diabetic foot concerns, musculoskeletal disorders, paediatric foot development issues, and dermatological conditions affecting the lower limb. His clinical practice also includes sports injury rehabilitation, custom orthotic prescription, medical footwear provision, and minor surgical procedures such as nail surgery and verruca management. He is trained in foot and ankle injection therapy, including steroid and viscosupplement treatments, and delivers a range of aesthetic foot services.
Dr Edon is developing collaborative links with clinics, hospitals, orthotists, endocrinologists, physiotherapists, GPs, internal medicine teams, orthopedic specialists, and community wellness providers. His work aims to support the establishment of integrated, community-based podiatry services that enhance access, encourage early intervention, and promote long-term foot health across Abu Dhabi.
