Dr. Shaaban holds a Master’s degree (2014) and an MD in Pulmonary Medicine (2018) from Cairo University, along with the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine. He is also an ERS HERMES diplomate. His pulmonology career began in 2011 with a three-year residency at Cairo University Hospitals, where he advanced to become a Pulmonology Consultant and Associate Professor.

His expertise includes interventional pulmonology (flexible bronchoscopy, medical thoracoscopy), pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases, respiratory critical care, and pulmonary infections.
