About Miss Vasuki Sivagnanavel
Miss Vasuki Sivagnanavel is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, Kingston Private Health, and Spire St Anthony's Hospital. As the Lead Medical Retina Consultant at Kingston Hospital, she has pioneered one of London's largest AMD services. Specialising in diseases of the retina, general ophthalmic disorders, and advanced cataract surgery, she earned a Clinical Excellence Award in 2014. Miss Sivagnanavel obtained her medical degree at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in 1997, receiving a Special Trustees Award. Her ophthalmic training occurred at Kings College Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. She completed her Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of London for her research on age-related macular degeneration and retinal imaging, she remains actively involved in research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at international conferences. A recipient of the prestigious Darzi Fellowship in healthcare management in 2010, she is a registered medical professional with the General Medical Council, a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, and a member of various medical societies, including the European Society of Retina Specialists and The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Miss Sivagnanavel passionately supports charitable causes such as Sight Savers and has volunteered internationally in eye camps. She specialises in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusions, inflammatory eye disease (uveitis), and intravitreal injections.
