Miss Anne Dancey

Miss Dancey is a leading surgeon in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. She graduated in 1999 from the University of Glasgow medical school with distinction and later completed a masters in medical sciences. Anne has since excelled in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, becoming one of the youngest surgeons in the UK to pass the plastic surgery specialist exam. She has now been a consultant for 6 years and worked for the NHS at the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Privately, Miss Dancey is associated with BMI and Spire Healthcare. She received training from the best cosmetic surgeons in the UK and completed a 6 month fellowship in a world leading breast reconstruction unit in Gent, Belgium. Anne is one of the few surgeons to be trained in advanced techniques such as the latest microvascular free flap breast reconstructions and lymph node transfers for treating uneven distribution of fat in the body. Miss Dancey has a special interest in helping lipoedema patients and reconstructive breast surgery. Miss Dancey is committed to providing the best quality care to all her patients and is highly trained in the full repertoire of plastic surgery procedures. Anne keeps up to date on all the latest techniques and training and regularly publishes her research in top international medical journals. When not working, Anne looks after a beautiful 5-year-old girl, spending most of her time with her family. As a woman and a mother, Anne can approach cases from a female perspective which patients have found to be very comforting.
