Mr O’Rourke is a qualified Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and Chartered Member with the British Psychological Society (BPS) with 15 years experience. Micheal has extensive experience working in adult mental health and concurrent settings and he has been trained in and practices using numerous adult assessment tools. He has significant experience in management and supervision, has served as Clinical Team Lead at University Health Network (UHN), Centre for Mental Health in Canada and as Accreditation Lead for an assessment of all programs and policies by Accreditation Canada.
These roles encompassed both direct clinical work and supervisory functions aimed at optimising service delivery and improving patient outcomes, offering guidance, support, and mentorship. Micheal has extensive experience in conducting bio-psycho-social assessments using standardised and non-standardised tools across both inpatient and outpatient settings, formulating individualised treatment plans based on multi-method assessments to address specific patient needs. He oversaw the screening and admission processes for referrals, ensuring that all cases met program criteria, facilitated case reviews and communicated treatment progress to relevant stakeholders and authored comprehensive reports to convey assessment results and treatment recommendations to clients, caregivers, and professionals.
