About

Ms. Meredith Watson is an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist with a career spanning over two decades. She completed her Physiotherapy degree at La Trobe University in 1998 and has since dedicated her professional life to working with children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, across a variety of paediatric specialties.

Meredith began her career at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne, where she gained extensive experience in assessing and treating a wide range of paediatric conditions. Following this, she transitioned to Western Health, where she played a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing a new Paediatric Orthopaedic service while continuing her clinical practice.

An educator as well as a clinician, Meredith has taught the paediatric component of the La Trobe University Physiotherapy degree and delivered guest lectures at Melbourne University. In 2008, she completed a Master’s in Public Health and an Advanced Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapy course at RCH, further honing her expertise.

Currently, Meredith divides her time between Offspring Child Health Specialists and the St Vincent’s Kids Hip Dysplasia Clinic and Sports Injury Clinic at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne. Her areas of expertise include managing paediatric musculoskeletal conditions such as torticollis and plagiocephaly, posture and lower limb alignment concerns, anterior knee pain, sports injuries, post-surgical or injury rehabilitation (including fractures), and gross motor skill development concerns.

With years of experience working with children, Meredith has developed exceptional skills in assessment and treatment. Her approach is both passionate and family-centred, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child she works with.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
