Her clinical approach is strongly informed by Lacanian psychoanalysis, and she is an active member of Irish Circle of Lacanian Psychoanalysis, part of the New Lacanian School and the World Association of Psychoanalysis.
Mercedes has participated in and presented at seminars, workshops, conferences and international congresses across Europe and beyond. Her professional interests include autism, severe mental health difficulties and psychoanalytic clinical practice. She currently works with space2be, a community-based initiative guided by plural practice and Lacanian psychoanalytic principles.
