About Mr Mazin Osman Hamed
Mr Mazin Hamed is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon practising at Spire Norwich Hospital. He specialises in colorectal surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder disease and cholecystectomy, endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy, and the management of haemorrhoids, anal fissures and pilonidal disease. He speaks Arabic and English. He provides minimally invasive surgical care using laparoscopic and robotic techniques, with a clinical focus on colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and benign colorectal conditions. His general surgical practice includes hernia surgery and gallbladder removal, which he also performs using minimal access approaches where appropriate. His academic background includes doctoral research in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the Faculty of Surgical Training.
