Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Pietschmann ist Facharzt für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie und Teil des ärztlichen Teams der OrthoPraxis Oberhaching. Er verfügt über langjährige klinische Erfahrung in der konservativen und operativen Orthopädie und verbindet seine ärztliche Tätigkeit mit wissenschaftlicher Arbeit. Sein Behandlungsspektrum umfasst ein breites Spektrum orthopädischer Erkrankungen des Bewegungsapparates.Prof. Pietschmann studierte Humanmedizin an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg und absolvierte während seines Studiums mehrere internationale Aufenthalte in Europa, Afrika und den USA. Nach seiner Promotion setzte er seine klinische Ausbildung an universitären Einrichtungen fort und begann 2003 die Facharztausbildung in Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Dort erwarb er umfassende Erfahrung in der orthopädischen Versorgung von Patient:innen aller Altersgruppen, von angeborenen Fehlstellungen über Sportverletzungen bis hin zu degenerativen Gelenkerkrankungen.Nach Abschluss der Facharztausbildung im Jahr 2009 vertiefte Prof. Pietschmann seine klinische und wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit. Er habilitierte sich im Fach Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie und wurde 2015 zum außerplanmäßigen Professor an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München ernannt. Seine operative Tätigkeit umfasst sowohl gelenkerhaltende arthroskopische und offene Verfahren als auch endoprothetische Versorgungen, insbesondere an Knie- und Hüftgelenken. Darüber hinaus behandelt er Erkrankungen der Schulter, des Ellenbogens, der Hand und des Sprunggelenks.Er verfügt über zahlreiche Zusatzqualifikationen, darunter in der arthroskopischen Chirurgie, Endoprothetik, manueller Medizin, Akupunktur und psychosomatischer Grundversorgung. Prof. Pietschmann ist in verschiedenen medizinischen Fachgesellschaften aktiv und engagiert sich in der fachlichen Weiterbildung innerhalb seines Spezialgebiets.
