About Dr Maithili Srikantha
Dr Srikantha is a Consultant Neurologist who sees adults with the full range of neurological symptoms and conditions. She looks after patients from across London, Kent and Surrey with problems affecting the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Dr Srikantha completed her medical degree at the University of London, alongside a BSc in Immunobiology and Pathology from Imperial College London. She undertook post-graduate training in Oxford and London and has been a Consultant Neurologist since 2017. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and holds a postgraduate diploma awarded with distinction. Her particular interests are epilepsy and seizure disorders, first-time seizures, blackouts, unexplained collapses and episodes of altered awareness. Alongside this, she has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with: • Headaches, including migraines and tension headaches • Concussion or head injury • Cerebrovascular disease, including stroke or mini-stroke (TIA) • Memory/cognitive problems, including dementia • Nerve problems like numbness, tingling, or weakness, including neuropathy • Movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and tremors • Multiple sclerosis (MS) and similar conditions and other general neurological concerns.
