About Dr Liza Hart
Dr. Liza Hart is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals who face a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges. Throughout her career, Dr. Hart has worked extensively with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, primarily within NHS specialist mental health services. She currently practices at The Salisbury Practice, where she offers expert psychological care. Dr. Hart is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, with particular expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Focused Therapy. Her approach is centred on creating a shared understanding of a client’s experience, which then informs the development of a tailored treatment plan aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and improving quality of life. Her work is especially beneficial for individuals who have faced long-standing emotional and relational difficulties, those who feel stuck in their coping mechanisms, or those who struggle with low self-worth or finding meaning and purpose in their lives. Recently, Dr. Hart has developed an interest in “parts work” therapies, including Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Inner Relationship Focusing, which she uses to help people address inner conflict and self-sabotaging behaviours. Dr. Hart is also passionate about Ecotherapy. She offers one-to-one sessions outdoors in natural settings, providing a unique alternative to traditional indoor therapy. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals who might find comfort in a more natural, relaxed environment during their therapeutic journey. As a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Dr. Hart is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her practice remains safe and effective.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
