He further specialised with a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, followed by a fellowship in Lung Transplantation at Harefield Hospital. Dr Alkattan is a board member of the Saudi Thoracic Society and the Medical Education Society.
