About Kate
Hello, my name is Kate. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Limerick City, offering both in-person and online therapy sessions.
I am a graduate of PCI College, where I earned a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, validated by Middlesex University. I am also an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
Approach to Therapy
Kate offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and openness. Her work focuses on supporting individuals to develop a healthier relationship with themselves and others, while gaining insight into the patterns, experiences, and influences that have shaped who they are.
Through compassion, curiosity, and openness, her aim is to work collaboratively with clients to foster self-understanding and personal growth. She believes that while life inevitably presents challenges, understanding how and why we respond to them can be deeply empowering.
Kate also believes that each person has the inner resources needed to make meaningful changes in their life. Her role is to help clients identify, strengthen, and transform these existing skills into effective life strategies.
Therapeutic Approach
Kate uses an integrative approach, blending different models of therapy to suit the individual needs of each client. These include:
Person-Centred Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Inner Child Work
How She Can Help
Kate works collaboratively with clients to build awareness, resilience, and practical tools to cope more effectively. Her approach supports emotional understanding, personal growth, and lasting change.
Clients can expect to experience:
Greater self-understanding
Relief from distressing thoughts and feelings
Support with problematic behaviours
Increased confidence in managing challenges
The ability to live a more authentic and content life
Her therapy service provides an objective, confidential, and non-judgemental space where clients can gain clarity and find solutions for a range of psychological and emotional difficulties, including:
