About

Dr. Kate Fadaka is a highly experienced Psychiatrist with dual training in Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She graduated in medicine from the University of Benin, Nigeria, in 1992 and completed her postgraduate training in Paediatrics in Nigeria and West Africa. She was awarded Membership of the West African College of Physicians in Paediatrics in 2002 and Fellowship of the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Paediatrics in 2005.
Dr. Fadaka worked as a Paediatrician for a decade, including four years in the United Kingdom, before pursuing her passion for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. This interest emerged during her postgraduate training in Paediatrics, where she conducted research that resulted in several publications. Her transition into psychiatry was motivated by her dedication to understanding and addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents.
She completed her general psychiatry training at the prestigious University College London (UCL) training programme, gaining experience in adult psychiatry, adult learning disability, substance misuse, child and adolescent psychiatry, and psychiatry for the elderly. She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2015. Following this, Dr. Fadaka undertook higher training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the renowned St. Mary’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Programme, United Kingdom, achieving her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2018.
Dr. Fadaka brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to her practice, combining her background in paediatrics with her extensive training in psychiatry to provide holistic care for young people and their families. Her work is informed by years of clinical experience, research, and a deep commitment to the mental and physical wellbeing of children and adolescents.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
