Currently, Dr. Rao serves as an interventional research fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital and is concurrently pursuing a PhD with the University of Sydney, focusing on structural and interventional cardiology. His research efforts are supported by prestigious grants, including the NHMRC Postgraduate PhD Scholarship and the Heart Research Australia PhD grant. His research work, which centres on optimising transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), has been published and presented internationally. His work was also recognised with the ANZET Early Career Research Prize in 2024.
