About

Ms Joy O’Leary is a qualified sports massage and neuromuscular therapist who trained at the National Training Centre (NTC). She offers a wide range of hands-on therapies, including relaxation massage, sports massage, deep tissue techniques and neuromuscular therapy, with a focus on helping clients relieve soft tissue pain, improve mobility and achieve long-term wellbeing. Her treatments are centred on understanding each individual’s needs, combining skilled manual techniques with a calm, supportive approach.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Joy is a dedicated yoga teacher. She has been practising yoga for a decade and spent ten months in India completing her first teacher-training qualification, an experience that shaped her holistic approach to health. Alongside public classes, she offers tailored 1:1 yoga sessions that blend mindful movement, breathwork and functional mobility.
Joy’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that health and wellbeing must be approached through balance and personalisation. She recognises that each person’s lifestyle, goals and abilities are different, and aims to integrate movement and manual therapy in a way that supports those unique needs. Outside her professional practice, she continues to develop her own yoga journey and incorporates weight training to build strength and bone density for everyday life.
Before beginning her career in therapy, Joy completed a bachelor’s degree and worked as a graphic designer, nurturing a longstanding love for creativity and the arts. She is also passionate about sustainability and community initiatives; in 2021 she founded Cork Clothes Swap, a non-profit that promotes textile reuse and helps reduce clothing waste through regular swap events.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
