About
In 2023, Mr Yates was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England alongside his Certificate of Completion of Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. During his specialist training, he completed over 36 months of dedicated foot and ankle surgery experience across major centres including Wrightington, Blackburn, Lancaster, Wythenshawe and Preston Major Trauma Unit.
Mr Yates has developed particular expertise in complex foot and ankle reconstruction, degenerative conditions and sports injuries, with additional clinical interest in diabetic foot disease. He is an active member of the diabetic foot multidisciplinary team at Royal Bolton Hospital, where he has contributed to the development of surgical pathways and treatment protocols for complex cases.
He has also undertaken ongoing engagement with specialist training and advanced practice in reconstructive diabetic foot surgery through academic and clinical centres including King’s College Hospital.
Mr Yates is involved in medical education, surgical training, governance and research, and holds roles in teaching, examination and clinical audit within orthopaedic practice.
