About Dr Jonathan Charles Marshall
Dr. Jonathan Charles Marshall is a Gastroenterologist. Dr. Marshall qualified in medicine from the University of London in 1988. Following initial medical and surgical training, Dr. Marshall spent time at Duke University, North Carolina, before obtaining a higher, research-based medical degree in the UK in 2001. That same year, they entered the GMC's specialist register for Gastroenterology and General (internal) Medicine. Dr. Marshall's research into Helicobacter pylori (bacteria) in alcoholic liver disease has enabled the development of a special interest in this area, along with peptic ulcer disease. They have supervised the Oxford Deanery specialty training programme in gastroenterology and are called upon to provide medical reports to meet legal needs. Dr. Marshall is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the British Society of Gastroenterology.
