During his training, Mr. Terrace gained valuable expertise under the mentorship of nationally and internationally renowned surgeons, particularly in advanced laparoscopic hernia and gallbladder surgery. He also developed a special interest in laparoscopic adrenal surgery, which remains a key part of his practice today.
Appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in 2015, Mr. Terrace has a specialist practice in laparoscopic surgery. He has substantial experience in performing hernia surgeries of all types, as well as gallbladder and gallstone surgeries. As the dedicated adrenal surgeon for the South-East of Scotland, he leads the NHS service in this area. Additionally, he is one of only two surgeons in the East of Scotland qualified to perform laparoscopic living donor kidney surgeries as part of the kidney transplantation program.
Mr. Terrace is a committed member of the British Hernia Society, promoting high standards in hernia surgery, and the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons, representing excellence in adrenal surgery.
