About Mr James Voss
Mr James Voss is a Consultant Urologist bringing a broad range of specialist expertise to Dorset. He qualified from the University of London in 2012 and completed his core and higher surgical training in Nottingham and the Wessex region. His subspecialist training included a dedicated year at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he focused on complex robotic kidney surgery, before returning to University Hospitals Dorset in 2023. Mr Voss practices across the full spectrum of urology, managing both benign and malignant conditions. His experience includes cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle and penis, as well as benign prostatic hyperplasia, lower urinary tract symptoms, urinary tract infections, bladder pain syndromes and a wide range of men’s health concerns such as erectile dysfunction, infertility and vasectomy. He also has a particular interest in adolescent urology, providing age-appropriate, specialist care for younger patients. In addition to general urology, Mr Voss has developed specialist expertise in adrenal gland disorders and the surgical management of adrenal conditions, frequently using minimally invasive robotic techniques. His surgical practice includes robotic and open surgery for complex urological cancers, such as nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, nephro-ureterectomy, partial cystectomy, ileal conduit urinary diversion and adrenalectomy. He also routinely performs common urological procedures including cystoscopy, TURP, TURBT, circumcision, vasectomy and hydrocele repair. At Omnium Urology, Mr Voss offers a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments, including prostate surgery, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, orchidectomy, circumcision and penile lesion biopsy. He is committed to delivering clear, patient-centred care and tailoring treatment plans to the individual needs of each patient.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
