About Mr Jacob McCormick
Dr Jacob McCormick is a specialist Colorectal Surgeon at Cancer Specialists, Melbourne. He completed his MBBS degree at the University of Tasmania in 2004. He completed his specialist training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and qualified as a General Surgeon in 2011. After qualifying, Dr McCormick completed a series of specialist fellowships in colorectal surgery in centres across both Australia and New Zealand for three years. Dr McCormick has expertise in all areas of colorectal surgery, with special interests in haemorrhoids, peritoneal disease, anal fistula, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer (advanced and recurrent). He also has expertise in the surgical management of these conditions, particularly using minimally invasive techniques. Dr McCormick is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and holds a professional Membership with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is also a Supervisor of Colorectal Surgical Training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
