About
With a long career in the NHS, Dr Cohen has gained substantial experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of clinical settings. His expertise spans different therapeutic modalities, allowing him to tailor his approach to each individual’s needs. He is particularly interested in innovative approaches to treating trauma and eating disorders, including psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
Dr Cohen holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist. His clinical work includes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). He is fluent in English and Hebrew, enabling him to provide therapy in multiple languages.
His professional interests extend beyond the UK, as he is actively involved in implementing evidence-based interventions in multicultural settings, including low-income countries. He is passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives by fostering resilience and empowerment within a supportive therapeutic environment.
