Dr Kaiboni’s journey to become a surgeon began in the UK where she studied and completed a fellowship in the 1980’s before returning to her home country of Zimbabwe. Dr Kaiboni was involved in setting up the first paediatric surgical unit at the Harare hospital while mentored by a now retired American surgeon. She went on to establish her own Private Practice in Zimbabwe.
Moving to Australia in 2004 Dr Kaiboni worked in General Surgery at Ipswich and Mackay Hospital between 2006 to 2008. Appointment as Fellow of Breast and Endocrine Surgery at Mater Hospital Brisbane 2008-2009, prior to taking up position as Staff Specialist at John Hunter Hospital - New England and visiting Medical Officer to Moree District Hospital between 2009 -2011.
Dr Kaiboni made to move to Mildura in 2011 to set up and establish her Private Practice where she consults and operates from the Mildura Health Private Hospital and Mildura Base Public Hospital. She continues to Practice and offers a wide range of general surgical procedures.
Special areas of interest include but not limited to Endoscopy - colonoscopy and gastroscopy, Bowel surgery including colon cancer, Thyroid and breast surgery including cancers, Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repairs (adult and children), melanoma, skin lesions and cancers, other general procedures such as (not limited to) carpal tunnel, vasectomy, haemorrhoidectomy, ganglion and fissures.
In addition to adult surgery has a special interest in Paediatric surgery such as Paediatric hernia and undescended testes, appendicectomy.
