About
Dr. Ian Hutchinson is a Specialist Orthodontist who set up his private dental clinic, The Smile Lounge in 2006. He first qualified as a Dentist in 1991 from Newcastle University, and then completed a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1994. Following this, he worked in several hospital practices and in General Practices, before completing Specialist dental training in Bristol.
At his private clinic, he has put together a highly experienced team to provide orthodontics and facial aesthetic procedures. His aim is to provide the best patient experiences at the clinic, along with creating beautiful smiles. As well as being a specialist in orthodontics, he can perform facial aesthetic procedures and is part of the SWAP dental group which aims to provide safe treatments for patients.
Dr. Hutchinson held the position as Chairman of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society between 2015 and 2016. He is also involved in education having run orthodontic courses and founded the MSc in Lingual Orthodontics at the University of Warwick.
