He is also adept in low/minimal contrast angiography for patients with advanced kidney disease, and has extensive expertise in structural heart disease interventions, including treatments for valve disease and renal denervation for difficult-to-control hypertension.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Contractor is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and the Clinical Research Lead for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He heads several clinical trials, maintains a keen interest in developing new treatment options, and serves as the Secondary Prevention Lead of the Strategic Cardiac Network for Greater Manchester, specialising in risk factor management including high blood pressure and cholesterol.
