About
Dr Thakkar completed their undergraduate medical training in Mumbai, India, following which they moved to Australia to complete their specialist training.
They undertook Advanced training in General and Acute Care Medicine at Eastern Health, Melbourne, before undertaking advanced training in Cardiology at Royal Hobart Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and MonashHeart, Monash Health. To further pursue their passion for coronary interventions, they undertook subspecialty training in cardiac CT, coronary interventions, and structural heart disease at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Dr Thakkar is currently pursuing a combined PhD and coronary interventional fellowship via Monash University and Victorian Heart Hospital. They are also an avid educator and hold teaching positions through Monash University.
