About Mr Hamed Alaarag
Mr Hamed Alaarag is a Consultant Gynaecologist with specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology and experience in managing a wide range of women’s health conditions. He graduated with honours from Ain Shams University, Cairo, in 2009 and completed his specialist training in 2014. He holds MSc and PhD qualifications and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). His clinical practice includes the assessment and management of common and complex gynaecological conditions. His areas of interest include menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause care, contraception, and the investigation of abnormal cervical screening results. He is also involved in early detection and diagnostic pathways for gynaecological cancers. Mr Alaarag is trained in minimally invasive and diagnostic procedures, including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, hysteroscopy, and colposcopy. His work includes both outpatient assessment and surgical management where indicated. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), and the European Endometriosis League (EEL).
