Dr. Marouf further advanced her training internationally, completing specialized programs in Paediatric Pulmonology and Asthma Management at the American Austrian Foundation in Salzburg, Austria, and undertaking a Neonatal Intensive Care residency at the Gasilini International Institute in Genoa, Italy.
Her early career included serving on the Cardio-Thoracic Surgical Team in the Paediatric Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit and later as a Consultant and Lecturer in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cairo University Children’s Hospital, a position she continues to be affiliated with. Upon relocating to the UAE, Dr. Marouf worked at several leading hospitals in Dubai and also served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Neonatology at the University of Sharjah.
Dr. Marouf’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of paediatric services, including general paediatrics, neonatology, paediatric pulmonology, and critical care. She provides comprehensive management of routine and high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and the full spectrum of neonatal disorders. Her practice includes well-baby and child check-ups, growth and developmental assessments, and both routine and travel vaccinations.
She has a special interest in paediatric pulmonology, particularly asthma management and parental education, and has extensive experience managing complex postoperative surgical, cardio-thoracic, and neurosurgical cases. Dr. Marouf is also proficient in the management of PICU patients and multi-organ system failure.
