About Dr Dr. Gustav Timmel
Dr. Gustav Timmel ist Facharzt für Orthopädie und Traumatologie mit Schwerpunkt Sportorthopädie, Endoprothetik und Traumatologie. Er behandelt ein breites Spektrum orthopädischer und unfallchirurgischer Beschwerden, insbesondere Sportverletzungen sowie Erkrankungen der großen Gelenke. Neben seiner Tätigkeit im Klinikum Floridsdorf ist er in seiner Ordination SportOrtho Wien tätig.Nach Abschluss des Medizinstudiums begann Dr. Timmel seine orthopädische Ausbildung im Institut Vertebralia in Wien unter Prim. Alexander Kraft. Anschließend absolvierte er weitere Ausbildungsabschnitte in Deutschland. Von 2011 bis 2016 setzte er seine fachärztliche Ausbildung im Bereich Unfallchirurgie und Sporttraumatologie im SMZ-Ost Wien unter Prof. Mousavi fort. Danach folgte die weitere Spezialisierung im orthopädischen Spital Gersthof. Die Facharztprüfung für Orthopädie und Traumatologie legte er 2017 ab, den Abschluss seiner Ausbildung erreichte er 2018.Von 2016 bis 2019 war Dr. Timmel operativ im orthopädischen Spital Gersthof tätig. Seit 2019 ist er im Krankenhaus Nord beziehungsweise Klinikum Floridsdorf tätig, wo er die Sportambulanz leitet.Seine klinischen Schwerpunkte umfassen die Behandlung von Sportverletzungen, arthroskopische Eingriffe an Knie und Schulter, minimalinvasive Chirurgie, künstlichen Gelenksersatz an Hüfte, Knie und Schulter sowie die operative Versorgung von Frakturen.Dr. Timmel verfolgt einen strukturierten Behandlungsansatz mit Fokus auf konservative Therapien, sofern diese medizinisch sinnvoll sind. Operative Eingriffe erfolgen nach sorgfältiger Diagnostik und individueller Indikationsstellung.
