Dr Grainne Gillespie is a highly accomplished general dentist, registered since July 2020. She graduated with First Class Honours in Dentistry from Trinity College Dublin, where she was awarded the prestigious Trinity College Gold Medal. Her academic excellence was further recognised with the Dental Council Prizes in both Restorative and Periodontal Dentistry, and in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Oral Pathology.
Following graduation, Dr Gillespie worked as both a Senior and Junior House Officer at the Dublin Dental University Hospital. There, she developed a strong clinical foundation and gained extensive experience in restorative dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and paediatric care. She has a particular passion for delivering high-quality emergency dentistry and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients.
Dr Gillespie now practices at O’Connor Moore Dental Practice in Sligo, where she continues to provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on precision, compassion, and patient wellbeing. She also holds postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry and Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFD RCSI).
Originally from Donegal, Dr Gillespie is a Gaelic football enthusiast and enjoys music, being trained in both piano and voice.
