About
Dr. Gerald O’Connor is the Principal Dentist and Owner with an extensive background in restorative dentistry. He graduated with honours from University College Cork in 1998, earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and receiving the prestigious Kerr Prize for Restorative Dentistry. After qualifying, he spent six years working in a dental clinic in Essex before acquiring his own practice in 2004. In 2006, he expanded his operations by opening a second location and subsequently forming the Oak Dental Group.
Upon returning to Ireland in 2013, Dr. O’Connor established Killiney Dental alongside his long-time partner, Rosemarie. With a wealth of experience in the field, he is currently in the final year of a postgraduate MSc in Endodontology and has transitioned to focusing exclusively on endodontic care, accepting referrals from general dentists. Dr. O’Connor also chairs the Irish Dental Association’s Quality and Patient Safety Committee.
