About
Gaynor Beyer has been working as a registered Senior Occupational Therapist in Ireland since 2003 with the Health Services. She has always had a passion for disabilities and worked with both children and adults throughout the years. This has provided her with a great understanding of the challenges and passions, abilities, and a sense of self-worth that we all desire.
Gaynor has completed a Master’s Degree in Developmental Disorders at the University of Wales, UK, under the supervision of Professor Amanda Kirby. Over the years, Gaynor has gained extensive knowledge and experience with both children and adults, including working on an individual or group basis. Gaynor has attended many courses while employed with the HSE. Occupational therapists would work in three areas: self-care, daily occupational activities and functional performance in school/workplace.
Assessments can be done in the following individual areas:
Fine motor skills.
Gross motor skills.
Sensory profile.
Visual perception skills.
Activities of daily living.
Social skills.
Assistive technology assessments for diagnosed children who require a laptop/technology in the classroom.
A full Occupational Therapy assessment, which covers all of the above in one assessment.
Dyspraxia (DCD) Assessment.
