About Dr Fiona Hegi-Johnson
Dr Fiona Hegi-Johnson is a Radiation Oncologist and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. They specialise in the treatment of patients with lung and breast cancer. Dr Hegi-Johnson also holds a subspecialty interest in stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR). Dr Hegi-Johnson is the Chair of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) Lung Subspecialty Group. In addition, they are a Director on the Board of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG). Dr Hegi-Johnson is heavily involved in research and is a chief investigator on a number of clinical trials in lung cancer. Dr Hegi-Johnson's research programme is supported by a Victorian Cancer Agency Fellowship. Their research focuses on developing and using novel PET tracers to integrate biological and imaging information into radiotherapy. The aim of this research is to develop personalised, biologically driven approaches to radiotherapy treatment.
