About
Mr Kamel completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Brighton and Sussex Medical School before undertaking core surgical training and higher general surgery training within the South West London Deanery. He holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery and has developed specialist skills across a wide range of colorectal and general surgical procedures.
Mr Kamel is an accomplished endoscopist specialising in colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy procedures. He is fully accredited by JAG (Joint Advisory Group on GI endoscopy) and carries out endoscopic removal of polyps. He is currently the chair of the colorectal cancer MDT at Croydon University Hospital.
His professional development includes extensive training in leadership, teaching, laparoscopic skills, coloproctology, alongside dedicated courses in critical care and perioperative practice. This broad surgical foundation supports his ability to deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care.
