About Evangelia Theochari
Evangelia Theochari is a Senior Occupational Therapist at Eleos Clinic. She has extensive skills and experience in adolescent mental health recovery, family support, sensory integration, coaching, trauma informed therapeutic approaches and occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Evangelia uses evidence-based reflective practice to tailor her interventions to the specific needs of each child or young person and their families; this may include sensory strategies or psychoeducation, depending on what is most appropriate for the individual case. Evangelia completed a Master's degree in Paediatric Occupational Therapy at the University of East London. Since then she has gained extensive expertise in therapeutic education for children and young people with developmental trauma. She has worked as Head of a therapeutic school, Children's Therapies Service Manager in Newham Community Specialist Services, and as Head of Clinical Service for Paediatric Occupational Therapy at the London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. She is currently the Head of Occupational Therapy Service at the Coborn Centre for Adolescent Mental Health. As a dedicated professional, Evangelia provides the best support for young people and families, and as a result she is very popular amongst those around her. She is passionate about working with young people and helping them through times of difficulty by providing compassionate and understanding care.
