About
Dr Ibrahim completed his undergraduate education in Egypt and earned an MSc in Oncology before relocating to the UK for advanced training. His dual training in palliative medicine, through the North Western Deanery, provided him with comprehensive knowledge and experience in secondary, tertiary, and community care settings, along with hospice environments.
He completed his clinical oncology training at Christie Hospital in 2018 and joined Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a consultant in January 2019. In his current role, Dr Ibrahim focuses on managing complex cases involving lung, head, and neck cancers. He is skilled in administering radical and palliative radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.
Dr Ibrahim is actively involved in clinical trials and research, contributing to advancements in cancer treatment. He is a principal and sub-investigator in numerous phase 3 trials, focusing on symptom control and improving outcomes for patients with lung, head, and neck cancers. His expertise in stereotactic radiation (SABR) for lung tumours further demonstrates his commitment to innovative cancer care.
In addition to clinical work, Dr Ibrahim is deeply involved in medical education, mentoring clinical oncology trainees and collaborating with the Royal College of Radiologists to enhance oncology training for medical students. His patient-centred approach ensures that each individual receives personalised, high-quality care.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
