Edwin Danzer absolvierte eine Ausbildung zum Rettungssanitäter sowie ehrenamtliche Arbeit am Roten Kreuz, bevor er an der Universität Innsbruck Medizin studierte. Er verbrachte Studienaufenthalte im Ausland und sammelte Berufserfahrung in New York, USA und Sydney, Australien. In seiner Facharztausbildung legte er die Schwerpunkte in Onkologie, Orthopädie und Kardiologie und schloss eine 6-monatige Ausbildung im AKH Linz – mit Schwerpunkt Traumatologie und MRT ab.
